Sundays are for Football

Today was the last day for thanksgiving break. I slept in till about 11 then packed up the rest of my clothes. Everyone in my house was being pretty chill just relaxing. My mom decided to put up the tree and the lights out side. It definitely feels like Christmas now. I can’t wait to go home again haha. Some time during the break I’m going to go back to League City to see all my friends so that should be really fun. I’m looking forward to it. It sucks not being able to hang out with them during spring break since I don’t live there anymore. But i find ways to make it down there every once in a while. Also I’m going on spring break with some of them so that will be awesome. Anyways i got back to school around 1 and just relaxed in the dorm all alone. My roommates were coming back later on today. I went and ran but didn’t work out. I want to enjoy the last day before i get down to business for these last two weeks. When one of my roommates came back we went to Chipotle for dinner. It was feast. Then we went to pick up another roommate from the airport. I was driving so of course i took the wrong exit and made the trip long. It was only like 5min longer so it wasn’t that bad. We got back to the room and watched the rest of Monday Night Football game. The Vikings won so one of my roommates was happy. I could careless, the only team that matters is the Raiders haha. Yeah i know we suck. Ok, so now I’m going to sleep. Break was good but I’m already excited to go back home again.

Borin Saturday

BORING. I did absolutely nothing today. I was suppose to go with my parent to my mom’s cousin’s house but i decided to stay in and start writing some of my papers due. I got rough draft due one Monday and i got a final due the next week as well as another rough draft. Pretty much this whole last week I have to write papers. Anyways i basically sat around watched movies and slowly wrote my paper. I actually got pretty organized and planned out the rest of my semester so I can get good grades. My first paper is about how corporations should be accountable for what their doing to the environment. I’m not sure if I’m on the right track but the two rough drafts should help me get it together. My second paper is a research paper on slave auction. This one is going to be tricky because the class is pretty easy, but i think this paper will have a big effect on my grade. Hopefully i do well. Also in my Principle of Behavior class i have a presentation to do. Its a very short presentation but i haven’t even started thinking about it. I figured on Monday ill do it and add anything if i need to on Tuesday. I dunno we will see how this week go but I’m pretty sure i set my self up to have a good second have of the semester.

Black Friday

So today is a huge shopping day. Apparently people get up at the butt crack of dawn and shop for gifts that stores might only have like 5 in stock. It ridiculous. My mom and dad had to work so we didnt go shopping till later on in the day. My mom said that when she left for work the Wal-Mart was already packed and it 7 in the morning! That’s insane. I bet half those people didn’t get what they originally went out for. Once we did go shopping we didn’t have any problems finding what we needed to get. My dad and i got my some hair straightener and hair dryer that we like $100 a piece. I’m glad I’m a guy and i don’t have to deal with any of that stuff haha. My dad wants surround sound speakers for the house so we will probably have to order them. For me i don’t want much. I already have a lot but i guess what i need is just money. For spring break I’m going to Mexico and my parents are paying for the trip. The only thing is that i have to get spending money. I probably need around $500. I told them I would get a job but I’m super lazy haha. I need one and i will eventually find one…..just as soon as i get off my lazy ass. Anyways I’m just asking for money. But yeah my break has been good but its kind of a tease. I’m waiting for the real break in about 2 weeks.

Thanksgiving

Well Thanksgiving was pretty good. It was just me, my mom and dad this time. My brother is awaiting to go to Navy Seal Training so hes still in Chicago. Hes been there for almost a year. Hes very excited to finally being in the Navy Seal school and we are very proud of him. I woke up super late as usually and pretty much just lounged around all day. My mom was cooking and it smelled AMAZING. The turkey was great but the best part was the Pumpkin Cheesecake. It was probably the best cheesecake I have ever had! Haha, no joke though. If you haven’t had it I definitely recommend it. I was skeptical at first but once you have it, it like a party in you mouth. Needless to say my mom will be making it for Christmas haha. After dinner we went to go see a movie like we always do. Its kind of a tradition in our family. We went and saw Four Christmases staring Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon. We was pretty good. I didn’t expect it to be as funny as it was. Vince Vaughn is hilarious and I think he really carried the movie.

Oh yeah no new Office on Thursday but their is on Dec. 4th. To get my fill of The Office i went out and bought the third season. It was super cheap so i just had to get it haha.

Lazy Sunday

Super, duper chill day. My weekend was actually extra fun. On Friday some friend and I were just chillin playing a little Mario Kart, when someone called and said lets go to Winstar. Winstar is a casino in Oklahoma that’s 18 to gamble. After much debate, about 2 seconds, we decided to make the trip up there and win some money. We left at like 11:30 and got their around 1 or so. It was so much fun. We played blackjack for about an 1hr and a half with $30 each. At one point I was up about $45 but of course I lost it all. At the end of the night I had $10 dollars left and we need gas to get back. Risking it all we played with $5 and got ended up winning $15. Needless to say we got gas and arrived back at TCU around 5am on Saturday. Long night but well worth it.

Saturday was the last football game of the year until the bowl game. Of course we blew out Air Force to finish the season 10-2. It makes me wonder what would have happened if we beat Utah two weeks ago. If we did we’d be going to a BCS game. God that would have been awesome. But o well I’m just happy for the team to be able to go to a bowl game, even if its the Las Vegas bowl or whatever.

Saturday

SO today was the last football game. we won, but the game was weak. nothing exciting happened. i dont really like when our games are in the middle of the day because then i get all hyped up but are tired byt the time 6 rolls around which makes it hard to go out and do anything. for example, i wanted to go do something fun after the game today and so i called some friends, they were in bed watchng family feud! really? That’s lame.

on a different note, has anyone ever realized how many times girls drive down the wrong side of the road? i hear it happen all the time and its always from a girl. geeze, they shouldnt have liscences. my friend told me that last night she was driving and went to make a turn and ended up going the wrong side of the road…really? and to make it worst, she proceeded to hop the median to get on the right side of the road. she got pulled over, obviously, the cop thought she was drunk. nope, she’s just retarded.

Wall-E is a horrible movie by the way. dont watch it. you will fall asleep, no one talks for the first hour.

what’s with this Twilight obsession? what is that? how can girls be in love with a fictional vampire??

The Office

Chill day as usual. In my 8am Criminal Justice class we talked about our reading assignment a little bit then we watch a movie about this guy named Gary Gilmore. It was ok but I think we watch to many movies in that class. Also she cancels class a lot but I guess that’s not all a bad thing. I just hope that our final isn’t very hard because we have done squat since fall break. I have a 90% in the class and I really want an A. My 11am class was eh. We took notes for an hour and she let us out early. We have a test on Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I’m thinking right now i have a high C or a low B. I want to make a solid B so i can get the 3.0 for my GPA. I need to do good on this test.

Today is thursday so you know what that means. THE OFFICE!!! This week Toby came back because Holly got sent to New Hampshire. Michael and Dwight tried to get rid of Toby by putting “weed” in his desk. Turns out the weed that Michael bought for $500 was a caprise salad haha. It was extra funny. This season has been good so far. I want to see what happens with Michael and Holly though. Hopefully they didnt kill her off. That would suck….especially for Michael.

Hump Day aka Wednesday

Today was a long, long day. I didn’t have class at 9am so I got to sleep till about 12pm. Then I went to Major American Writers and that class was BORING. All the professor talked about was how to write a paper. I’m a sophomore in college, I’m pretty sure I know how to write a paper. Also he explained how to search on databases. It was ridiculous haha. I went and worked out as usual and it was pretty good. Ran a little bit as well which I haven’t done in like a month. The rest of the day was pretty chill. Got some laundry done and cleaned up around my dorm. I made it kind of dirty so I figured I would clean it up for my roommates. Right now I’m watching The Office and it probably the best show ever. Season 5 so far has been really good. I’m excited to see what happens tomorrow because last Thursday left us with kind of a cliff hanger. I dunno we will see haha.

Well today has been a pretty chill day. Last night I went out to a couple parties and got back in my room around 4am this morning. So I have basically been catching up on some much needed rest. I went home today and hung out with my parents and our pets. My dog finally got groomed so she looks extra cute now. Also my mom taught our dog to lay down. So her bag up tricks is up to two now, making some progress haha. My mom cooked for me to. It was ten times better then eating that terrible stuff they try to pass as food at the main. For once I don’t feel deathly sick after having dinner. Right now im catching up on some homework and realise that I need to start going to class. Its so easy to not go in college because no one is yelling at you to get up and go. But my grades have started to go down, so for the rest of the semester I’m not going to skip. I’m sure i have said this in previous post but this time i mean it haha. Anyways not much going on this week. I got a paper due on Wednesday and that’s about it. Since the semester is coming to end its crunch time and I’m determined to bring my GPA back up to my idea of acceptable.

Today was an alright day. My 8am class was short and all we did was watch a movie. I hardly ever go to that class but i still got a 90. Its super easy so if you need to take a class, take criminal justice. During the down time between my 8am and 11am i watched ET. I never realised how AWESOME that movie was. Probably one of the best movies ever made. My 11am class was definitely a change of pace. We split up into groups and have to perform little skits to help our class understand how we learn language. According to the professor we have the hardest one so it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Also i have been doing this behavior modification experiment and i finally turn in the paper tomorrow. Its only like 8 pages and our TA said that this was going to be graded very hard. I’m kind of nervous but i think i might squeak out a low B if all goes well.
